This video is my absolute all time favorite. This is Abby singing Happy Birthday-- We were just coming home from her Uncle Seth's b.day and she sang this to us. It was adorable. She was 22 months old here. She is the most precious angel. Yesterday she came up to me and said, "am I precious mommy" I looked at her and said, "yes you are Abby." She then said "God made me precious!" It was too sweet. I am so in love with this two year old of mine.
For I am the Lord your God, who stirs up the sea, causing its waves to roar. My name is the Lord Almighty. I have put my words in your mouth and hidden you safely within my hand. I set all the stars in space and established the earth. I am the one who says, you are mine! Isaiah 51:15-16

Eating Squash
This is Emily's first encounter with squash-- it is her first food with some taste. She liked it and ate it well. Today she had some of my peach and choked on it. It was scary. She has also eaten ice cream and chewed on my garlic bread. She seems to like food.

Endocrinologist appt.
I have an appointment with the endocrinologist. They can't get me in until October 26th. Waiting that long is going to be torture. Please pray that God heals me in the meantime. I am just praying for a healing. I am starting some vitamins that are supposed to help the endocrine system. I would just love to go to that appt. and have them say everything is normal. I will keep you posted. Thanks everyone!!
car accident
Joel was in a bad car accident this morning. A lady pulled out in front of him and he t-boned her rolling her car onto it's side. The fire trucks had to come in order to cut her out of her car. They both are fine. God was really watching over Joel. He hit his head into the steering wheel and hurt his nose and collarbone and neck. He has a bad headache at the moment. The dr. said it would be even worse tom. Poor guy has to work at Sears all weekend and he doesn't think he can get out of it. He took today off from Lexus as the dr. told him he should. Now we just need to figure out getting a new car for him and find out how to get coverage for new glasses, the dr. visit, the loaner car, the tow, ect.... When it rains it pours here-- speaking of pouring we had golf ball size hail lastnight that damaged our home too. God has been watching over us though and for that I am grateful.

Daddy and his baby girl
Prayer
Most of you know that I have been dealing with some weird health issues and have been undergoing lots of tests. I just found out that I have been diagnosed with Graves Disease. I don't know what all it entails yet but I know having more kids will be hard if we even can. I also could be getting a serious eye disease. My eyes have been funny since pregnancy and I have gone to the eye doctor and they have no explanation. Finding out I have Graves disease though does explain it. There is oftentimes an eye disease that accompanies it where your eyes actually pop out of thier socket. So far I have been having blurred vision and a grainy feeling and dry eyes which are all beginning signs of it. We don't know how extensive this is yet. We are praying it is a mild case of Graves and not a serious one. I will be going into an endocrinolgist to have a thyroid scan and a brain scan to check on my pituatary. I have been having unexplained dizziness and nausea that may all be related to the pituatary.
Thank you for your prayers and I will keep you updated.

Giggling Emily
Emily just adores Abby and always seems to be laughing or smiling when she is around. It is so precious.
Bath time
This is Emily's first bath in her seat. She seemed to like it. It is much better than laying down and getting water in her ears.

Only Us
Lastnight I was on the computer and Joel was outside working on our truck. Around 10:30 he came in the house and came down here and I could tell he was upset. He was holding something in his hand and he told me he had a big problem. I thought it was something with the truck as he had already had to make a 40 mile run to get some more parts. He opened up his hand and here was some pieces of this tooth. Then he smiled. I just couldn't contain my laughter. Half of one of his front teeth was missing. He looks like a hillbilly. It really isn't funny as it is going to cost us a lot of money that we don't have and he is too embarresed to go anywhere until he can get it fixed. I keep trying to get him to take a picture and he refuses. It might be just me and Abby who get to see it. Abby noticed it without us having to even tell her. She said "you break your tooth daddy?" It was so cute. I hope all of you have better luck this weekend---

First taste of food

Emily loves the baby cereal. She took to it like a champ. Abby was watching me feed her and she wanted some so I gave her a bite and she said "yuck" and spit it out. It wasn't that long ago that she was eating it too. They grow way too fast. I can't believe my Emmy is 5 months old and eating cereal. :-)
Random Things we have done in the last weekend
We finally got a double jogging stroller. I have been waiting all summer to find a deal on one and now that it is September I did. The girls had a blast rollerblading and Abby says "we're going super fast". She is such a delight.
My Grandma Seger came to visit on Sat. too. We loved seeing her. Both the girls have changed since she last saw them

Labor Day Weekend
Figuring it all out
I am new at this whole blog thing but since the whole world is doing it I decided I better catch up. I just wanted a way to share what is going on in our lives with those who care to know. I will be updating this blog regularly and will be adding new pictures and videos. It will be a way for Leah to stay in touch while she is away in England too.
