For I am the Lord your God, who stirs up the sea, causing its waves to roar. My name is the Lord Almighty. I have put my words in your mouth and hidden you safely within my hand. I set all the stars in space and established the earth. I am the one who says, you are mine! Isaiah 51:15-16

25...
My mom is on her way down here as I type this and she is going to watch the girls for us tonight so that we can go out. We are just going to go to dinner and do a little bit of shopping we need to do and then either go to the movies or bowling. We haven't decided yet. It will be fun to just be with my man. My mom will have fun too as she hasn't seen the girls for 3 months and can't wait to get her hands on them.
This aft. I am getting a massage- I had a gift card for one and thought it would be a good day to use it. A neighbor is going to watch the girls. It is so nice to have such good neighbors around that I can trust with the kids. It should be a wonderful day!!

Our Easter Sunday
Emily trying to find eggs

Abby getting an egg

Look at all those eggs. We had them filled with coins and candy. The girls each scored 1.50 in change and a bag of candy

opening presents. They were just 1.00 easter candy.

Sweet Emily

We had easter alone this year since I had just been sick. We just picked up a rotissarie chicken and had a simple lunch. Neither of the girls liked it.

Emily with the resurrection eggs

Abby being told the resurrection story. I have 12 eggs that you open each one and there is a symbol of Jesus's cruxifiction. (spelling is horrible but I can't figure out how to spell that one) It tells the whole story. Abby loved it and wanted me to do it again.

Here she is finding Easter Eggs

Thank you
So I had a rare moment of feeling "ok" after just taking some advil and wanted to get a video of this. Emily keeps saying thank you over and over. She says it clearer than she did in this video. She says the Thank really high pitched and the you really low. It is so cute. She says "Hi, Abby, Mommy, Daddy, Thank-you, Water, More, nigh-nigh and tells you what a lamb says. I am loving this stage. Before bed I nurse her and she eats both sides and then pulls off and points to her crib and says "nigh-nigh" It is so precious. What a great kid. I was trying to get her to show us where her head is in this video. She usually does but tonight she was just to distracted. She still does a lot of yelling: when Abby gets to close, or takes a toy, or she wants something. She knows how to get what she wants. Abby at almost 3 is such a blast too. She is really helpful and loves to make supper and fold laundry. It takes me 4X as long but she loves it. She is very much a daddy's girl and talks about him constantly. She has a long list of imaginary and real friends. Here is a conversation we recently had.
"Mommy- I love birthdays." "Yes they are fun." "When I turn 3 I am going to have a big swimming party and all my friends are coming: Eva and Elizabeth and Sofia and Emma and Kayley and Abe too, and Simba, and cha-cha, and snowden and rafiki and nala and za zoo. Mom- I just wish my friends were real."
Talk about precious. She has such an imagination and suprises us constantly with what she says. Today she told Joel that when she gets bigger she is going to pee standing up just like him. The things she aspires to.

Abby figured out she could make this duck stick to her skin. She decided to wear it on her forehead until Emily pulled it off.

outdoor weather

Emily and Abby on our walk. She loves to ride this little car.

Sweet Abby

Emily- Look at those teeth. She is getting so big. I can't believe she is almost a year.

Abby riding her car.

Trouble

Here is a close- up
We had moved Abby's bed over by her window and noticed that she has been hanging from the curtain tie back. It is coming loose from the wall and she pulled some sheet rock with it. We had to move her bed away from it. Goofy girl-
First day
At one point last night I got so homesick I thought I would just walk out of there and never come back. But I stuck it out. I just felt like I was in high school again and believe me, that is a place I never, ever want to go back to. I hope this weekend will be better. I just have to make myself do it. I think waitressing itself won't be bad- it is just the people I work with. There is a lot more to waitressing than it looks though. Wow--- It was a slow night for them and I kept thinking- if this is slow how in the world will I stay caught up when it is busy. Everyone kept asking me if I had done it before though because they couldn't believe how fast I was learning it and how good I was doing so that is good. It is a little intimidating but once I get the hang of it I am sure it will go great. I just really am going to avoid the other waitresses so I don't have ot hear thier petty conversations. You can tell they get upset with eachother and bicker too. How fun.
The girls did great. I had to wake up Emily from a nap to go and get the babysitter and she has a cold right now so I felt really bad. Joel was able to rock Emily to sleep lastnight after she screamed bloody murder for awhile. He did enjoy having the girls so I was thankful for that. I am glad he is getting some extra time with them. He needs that too and he deserves it. I wish I had a better report to write. Hopefully next time I will.
